Each account is assigned to a specific category, such as Assets, Liabilities, Equity, Income, or Expenses, ensuring that every transaction is recorded accurately and reflected correctly in financial reports.

How Does This Feature Work?

Every transaction recorded in Acculyt AI is automatically posted to the appropriate account in the Chart of Accounts. The system updates account balances in real time, ensuring accurate financial records and reports, including the General Ledger, Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Report.

Managing Chart of Accounts In Acculyt AI

The Chart of Accounts feature allows you to organize your financial accounts by creating Subgroups or Sibling Accounts under the predefined account structure. To add a new account, select the appropriate Parent Account, choose Add Subgroup or Add Sibling, enter the Account Name, and click Save. The system automatically generates the Account Code based on the selected parent account, ensuring a consistent and organized account hierarchy.

You can update the details of user-created accounts at any time using the Edit option. Changes made to an account will apply to future transactions while preserving the integrity of historical financial records.

Activating or Deactivating an Account

Accounts that are no longer used can be made inactive.

Active – Available for financial transactions.

Inactive – Hidden from new transactions but retained for historical records.

Note: Accounts that have been used in transactions may not be deleted to preserve accounting history.
