Introduction
Employee payroll may include deductions that reduce the amount payable to an employee or represent other payroll-related obligations. The Deduction feature in Acculyt AI allows organizations to define and manage payroll deductions and specify their applicable tax treatment.
Overview
The Deduction feature in Acculyt AI allows organizations to create and manage different types of payroll deductions from a centralized location. Each deduction can be assigned a Type and classified as Taxable or Non-Taxable, helping organizations maintain consistent deduction records for payroll processing.
How It Works
Each deduction is configured with a name, deduction type, and applicable tax status. Once created, the deduction can be used in supported payroll processes according to the organization's payroll structure.
The deduction list provides information such as:
Name – The name of the payroll deduction. Type – The category assigned to the deduction. Standard Deduction – Indicates whether a standard deduction is applicable. Employer Contribution – Shows the applicable employer contribution. Payroll Liability – Indicates the related payroll liability.
The applicable deduction and tax treatment should be configured according to your organization's payroll policies and requirements.
Managing Deductions
To add a new deduction, click + Add Deduction, enter the Name, select the appropriate Type, choose whether the deduction is Taxable or Non-Taxable, and click Add.
Click Discard to cancel the entry.
Once created, the deduction becomes available for use in supported payroll processes. You can manage existing deduction records using the available options in the Deduction list.
Select the appropriate Type when creating the deduction. Correctly classify the deduction as Taxable or Non-Taxable. Configure deductions according to your organization's payroll policies and applicable tax requirements.
