Introduction
Businesses need to record financial transactions that require adjustments or transfers between different accounts, along with the relevant accounting details. The Journal Voucher feature in Acculyt AI allows organizations to record and manage journal entries in a structured and organized manner.
Overview
The Journal Voucher feature in Acculyt AI allows organizations to record accounting adjustments and other journal transactions by maintaining account, debit, credit, narration, and supporting document information. It helps businesses maintain organized accounting records and ensure that transactions are properly reflected in their financial statements.
How It Works
A Journal Voucher records a transaction by applying corresponding debit and credit entries to the relevant accounts. Users can add one or more account rows to represent the different accounts affected by the transaction.
Managing Journal Vouchers In Acculyt AI
To add a new journal voucher, select the required Account and enter the Narration for the transaction. Enter the applicable Debit and Credit amounts. Use + Add Row to add additional accounts when required, or remove an entry using the delete option.
Enter the Main Narration to provide an overall description of the journal transaction. If supporting documents are required, add them under Attachments. The system allows PDF, image, Word, and Excel files, with a maximum size of 5 MB for each file.
Before saving the journal voucher, verify that the Total Debit and Total Credit amounts are correctly recorded and balanced, ensuring that the transaction follows the double-entry accounting principle.

Ensure Total Debit and Total Credit are balanced before saving.
Add a clear Narration and supporting Attachments, if required.
