Introduction
Managing Value Added Tax (VAT) accurately is essential for businesses to comply with tax regulations and maintain reliable financial records. The VAT for Sales feature in Acculyt AI enables organizations to configure VAT rates that are applied to sales transactions, ensuring accurate tax calculations and reporting.
Overview
The VAT for Sales feature in Acculyt AI allows organizations to create and manage VAT rates for sales transactions. By maintaining centralized VAT configurations, businesses can automatically calculate VAT on taxable sales, improve invoicing accuracy, simplify tax reporting, and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
How It Works
Each Sales VAT record defines the VAT rate applicable to a specific type of sales transaction. When a VAT rate is selected during a sales transaction, Acculyt AI automatically calculates the VAT amount based on the transaction value and records it in the appropriate tax account.
This ensures that sales invoices, accounting entries, and tax reports reflect accurate VAT calculations without requiring manual intervention.
Whether your business applies a single VAT rate or multiple rates for different products or services, the VAT for Sales feature provides a centralized way to manage VAT across all sales transactions.

Managing VAT for Sales
To add a new VAT rate, click + Add VAT for Sales, enter the required VAT information such as the VAT Name, VAT Percentage, and other applicable details, then click Save. Once created, the VAT rate becomes available for use in sales invoices and other supported sales transactions.
You can update VAT information whenever tax regulations or business requirements change. Active VAT rates are available for new transactions, while inactive VAT rates remain in the system for historical records but cannot be selected for future transactions.
Configure VAT rates according to your country's tax regulations. Use clear and meaningful names to identify different VAT rates. Changes to VAT rates apply only to future transactions.
